Well, I got the news I was waiting for, and it wasn't good. We've been outbid, again, on the same damn house. The flaky buyers fell through for real on Monday (seriously, they really meant it this time!), but instead of defaulting to us as second in line the seller restarted the whole process from scratch. I plan on writing about other stuff from this weekend, but -- people were foolish enough to say they wanted to hear about house-hunting, so right now I'm gonna talk about house-hunting. :)

I'm not entirely sure how this happened, but we're bidding on the house!!!

*gulp*

We should know by end of day tomorrow if the sellers have accepted our bid.

I am distracting my monkey mind with desirable flutes because if left to its own devices my brain will chew on itself.

House update: Of the two places we saw last night, we loved one of them -- it was in the borough, had tons of original unpainted oak woodwork all over the place, plenty of room, and only a few minor quirks/flaws. I feel like Goldilocks... one house was too small and one was too big. We should only be so lucky as to have someone hand us a just-right house for free. *sigh*
